I was trying to figure out what to do with some pears for dessert, when I wondered if you couldn’t make pearsauce, in the same avenue as applesauce?
Turns out you can!
- 5 unripe pears
- whole cloves
- light brown sugar
- 1/4c butter
In A Pot:
Slice up the pears and put them in a pot
Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, butter and brown sugar
Turn heat on medium and let cook for 40 minutes, or until the sugar is thick and the pears are fully cooked
Serve over brownies. It is amazing.
